Getting the Best Start on Your Day

Simple daily practices that align your energy, sharpen your mind, and lift your life

Your morning isn’t just a routine—it’s a resonance.

It sets the tone for how you show up, lead, ride, relate, and create.

And no, it doesn’t need to be a 5am bootcamp or rigid wellness checklist. It just needs to start with you.

In this post, I’m sharing the core Avalon EQ practices that help our clients create mornings that feel calm, aligned, and clear—no matter what life’s throwing at them.


Energy Before Action

Before you check your phone or your to-do list, check your field.

We are energetic beings, and the first 20 minutes of your day are when your system is most impressionable.

Here’s a grounding practice you can use in under two minutes:

The Morning Reset:

  1. Take 3 deep, slow belly breaths.

  2. Ask: “Who am I today? What energy do I want to lead with?”

  3. Expand your energy 2 metres in all directions (imagine filling the room with your presence).

  4. Say (out loud or silently): “All energies that aren’t mine—return to sender with consciousness.”

You’ve just anchored your nervous system before the world started pulling on it.


Choose Your State, Don’t Inherit It

Most people wake up and absorb yesterday’s stress—or the collective chaos of the world.

But you don’t have to start from reactivity.
You can start from CHOICE.

Ask yourself:

  • What energy would I like to bring to today?”

  • “What would it take for today to be easeful, aligned, and clear?”

These aren’t just fluffy affirmations—they activate your subconscious and energetic system to scan for possibility, not problems.

Bonus: pick a word or frequency for the day.

Clarity. Precision. Gentleness. Power. Connection.

Let it guide your decisions.


Move the Body, Clear the Mind

You don’t need an hour at the gym. You just need conscious movement.

A 5-minute stretch. A walk with breath awareness. Grooming your horse slowly, with intention.

Follow it with a quick check-in journal session:

  • What’s taking up space in my mind?

  • What am I feeling—and what might be underneath that?

  • What do I want to feel more of today?

This isn’t about “fixing” your emotions. It’s about acknowledging them before they hijack your day.


Create Micro Morning Rituals

Small signals to your system = big change over time.

Here are a few powerful ones:

  • Light a candle and take 3 grounding breaths before checking messages

  • Apply essential oils to your wrists while affirming your intention

  • Put your hand on your heart before stepping into the day

  • Drink your coffee or tea at the window, in silence, before tech

These rituals tell your nervous system: we are safe, centred, and in charge.

You don’t need to conquer the world before sunrise.
You just need to meet yourself first.

When you lead your morning with energy, presence, and clarity—you change the texture of your entire day.
